After a long time, I’ve decided to create a new website. I will do some more edits over time to make this into something nicer.

I always find the high-end solutions of streaming audio not really interesting. As developer and part-time designer,
I knew the systems could be created better. Often, devices from high-end audio manufacturers are lacking in one area or another. Updates stay out, interface or connectivity is terrible, or always a compromise. I feel this can be done better by doing some DIY and profit from access to the software & interface

The Hurdy Gurdy

It all started a couple of years back while watching the title sequence from Black Sails (a Starz show). The sequence was beautifully made, rally well crafted…and then there was the music. There was a sound I couldn’t get my head around. It sounds like bag pipes, but it couldn’t be. Too much noise, clicks, and weird stringy vibratos that did not make sense at all. It sounded great, refreshing, weird and just got struck by the music it made.
